Marina of Ragusa is the most equipped and the most famous resort in this part
of Sicily, with a long stretches covered with fine sand, modern and efficient
tourists facilities and a lively nightlife.
Marina of Ragusa has also a harbour that will receive more than 800 boats, turning
into the third Sicilian Hub. It will be also the Harbour master’s office to guarantee,
together with the Harbour master’s office of Pozzallo, a better security service
along the “Iblea” coast. |

There will be also a service of catamarans to Malta which is only 80 Km from
Marina di Ragusa.
Surroundings are very interesting.
Modica, far 20 Km from Ragusa, is one of the most picturesque cities of the province,
situated in the southern part of the Iblei Mountains. It is divided into a high
and low part, both completely rebuilt after the earthquake of 1693.
What makes Modica so unique and charming are its baroque look and the narrow
streets bordered by old shops, houses and buildings.
After visiting the city, you can spend time discovering one of the most pleasant
characteristics of Modica: the cooking. The most famous product is surely CHOCOLATE,
made following ancient craft traditions which guarantee the special granularity
of the product.
Scicli is a Baroque jewel too, 24 km from Ragusa and 5 km from the sea, situated
in a broad valley in the middle of rocky hills.
It is also interesting to visit the Castle of Donnafugata, the nice town of Ispica
and Comiso. |
